Product

  • All products conform to British and EN standards.
  • All products manufactured by vetted sources in accordance with current legislation at time of purchase.
  • Dimensions and wattages are given as a guide only to assist the consumer and therefore do not constitute a legally binding contract.
  • Description and finishes are given as a guide only to assist the consumer and therefore do not constitute a legally binding contract.
  • Height measurements are provided excluding chain and ceiling fixture where applicable, as there is a variable involved.
  • Bulbs are not included with products unless otherwise stated.
  • Oberoi Brothers Lighting Limited reserves the right to alter or amend the specifications and/or prices of the products offered for sale or withdraw them completely without prior notice.
  • All prices are shown inclusive of UK VAT at 17.5%. 


Orders

  • While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
  • Once an order is placed we will send to you an order acknowledgement e-mail detailing the products you have ordered.  Please note that this e-mail is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from Oberoi Brothers Lighting.
  • Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.
  • Title to any products you order on this website shall pass to you on delivery of the products provided that we have processed and received payment in full for the products.


Delivery

At Oberoi Brothers Lighting, we always stand by our philosophy:

Our home lighting policy is to be totally transparent and to ensure that all our customers are happy throughout the process of shopping for home lighting with us. When you receive your lighting or ceiling fan order we want it to exceed your expectations and that is why we carefully select our home lighting products so that customers are never disappointed.


We do have a minimum order value set at £99.00 (inc.vat). However, all orders over £99.00 have FREE DELIVERY (UK Mainland). All our prices include VAT and there are no hidden charges anywhere.

To keep it nice and simple our carriage charges for all other areas are as follows:-

Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Channel Isles, Scilly Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight:-
£19.95 carriage for orders £99.00 to £200.00 (inc VAT)
Carriage FREE for orders over £200.00 (inc VAT)

For Mainland Europe and the Rest of the World you will be contacted with a shipping quotation.


We pride ourselves on our safe, secure and speedy courier service. All home lighting and ceiling fan products are delivered safe and secure to your door within 2-3 days. We deliver Monday to Friday, between 9am and 6pm.

Products may be sent out from multiple locations and therefore products may arrive separately, but you won't incur any additional delivery charges.

If you have ordered items that happen to be out of stock, we will always ring you to discuss delivery timescales. We always give you the option of either cancelling for a full refund, choosing an alternative product or keeping the item on back order. You will always be kept informed (after all, you have paid us!).

Please note: please do not book your electrician until you have received delivery of your order. We will not bear any electrician costs if you have booked an electrician and not received your lights.

Deliveries will usually be made on Monday's to Friday's between 9am and 6pm. If you or the intended recipient are not available, each time an attempt is made, our courier will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver. Please follow the instructions on this card to rearrange delivery or to collect your lighting fixture products.

We will try and work with our courier and you to ensure your items are delivered, but if they end up being returned to us (or our supplier), you will need to pay the P&P cost for re-delivery (alternatively we will refund the cost of the item once it has been returned less any P&P incurred). Please Note: We cannot send out a replacement item or refund your money until a parcel has been returned to us.

home lighting product is in safe hands.

We reserve the right to inform you of any revised carriage charges or minimum order level.

We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales.

Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by us or any third party carrier company. 

 
Returns Policy

At Oberoi Brothers we always stand by our philosophy:

We like to keep things nice and simple. We want you to be happy with your purchase and know that this can be difficult, especially when ordering on-line. Our policy has always been to select products that will exceed our customers expectations. When you receive your delivery we want you to be pleasantly surprised with the quality and finish of the product. (We have even had kind remarks on the quality of our packaging!) Our customers are never disappointed when they shop with us and our testimonials prove this. 

If you do wish to return anything, we will refund you, provided the product has not been installed and is in fully re-saleable condition. You need to inform us within 7 days from receipt of goods and ensure that the product is in the original, undamaged packaging.

Please call (01332 341027) or e-mail our customer services department customerservices@lightsuk.com who will give you a returns authorisation number relating to the purpose of the return to be displayed on the parcel.

All we ask is that customers return any goods at their expense. This needs to be by registered means.

If you return products by post, please ensure you package and label them properly so that they are not lost or damaged in transit. We recommend you retain some proof of postage with adequate insurance in the event that the products go missing, as products do remain your responsibility and property until we receive them.

We will refund the price of the item or exchange the product once it is received by us. A refund of the delivery charge will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.

Faulty Goods

  • Goods returned for reasons relating to a fault will be returned to the consumer at the cost of Oberoi Brothers as long as they conform to the relevant criteria (see warranty).
  • Any damages, faults or shortages must be notified within 7 days of receipt. (See returns policy).
  • Oberoi Brothers cannot accept responsibility after this period.
  • Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded in full in accordance with the consumer's requirements.
  • Oberoi Brothers will in no way be liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electricians fees, time taken from place of employment, fuel consumption etc.


Refunds

  • All products carry a 7-day money back policy (see returns policy above). This does not apply to items personalised or made to your specification.
  • The fixture must not have been installed or modified in any way and must be returned in its original packaging complete with any bulbs and any other parts supplied. (See returns policy).
  • We have the right to refuse refunds for failure to meet the above criteria.


Installation

  • A qualified electrician must install all products supplied.
  • All products must be earthed where necessary.
  • The mains supply must always be isolated prior to installation.
  • N.B. incorrect installation can deem warranty void. (See warranty).
  • Installation accessories such as screws and raw plugs etc are not supplied.
  • Liability will not be accepted for any personal damages such as electrocution due to improper installation.
    Your statutory rights are not affected.


Warranty

  • All products with the exception of lamps (light bulbs) carry a 1 year return to base warranty. (See returns policy)
  • In the event of a fault occurring the product will be repaired or replaced according to the nature of the fault.
  • The warranty applies to electrical components only and is void if deemed that the fitting has been incorrectly fitted or suffered abuse in a manner not intended for the purpose supplied.
